Who is Captain Bob
Bob Bauer is a Guitar player. He owns a half dozen (more actually) guitars. He has a small studio in his house. He practices and records there. His wife thinks he mostly wastes a lot of time. He’s been playing for a while now.
Sometimes he plays solo with the tracks he creates in his studio. Sometimes he plays with others. Sometimes the others are disappointed. He’s trying. He’s got a new group called the Early Bird Special. Read all about them below
Bob gigs around the Tucson & Southern Arizona area where he currently makes his home.
Sometimes he travels. He can be found playing various spots on Hatteras Island, the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is a long commute.

The Captain’s music works great wherever you want a nice, pleasant musical accompaniment to your event. Bob’s music is subdued, high quality, just the thing you might want to make the date extra special. From 20-150 people Bob has the book of music and necessary equipment to add to your event.

The Early Bird Special Trio
Early Bird Special Trio is a group of Tucson musicians playing a wide variety of very listenable instrumental music. Steven Wright on Keyboards, Doug Parmenter on drums/percussion and Bob Bauer on the guitar can entertain any event from a small backyard pool party to a large corporate function. Seasoned musicians with the ability to tailor every performance to the needs of the venue.

Do People Still have CD Players……. Many do not
Bob Also Made a CD a few years ago. Among the many things he learned during the process was that most people don’t have CD players anymore. He has lots of CD’s available should you want one.
The CD is called “Nigels Blue” and is a celebration of a 50+ year long friendship. Way back in 1970, as a fledgling guitar student Bob’s repertoire of playable tunes was, at best, limited. He played a particular 12 bar blues “dead thumb” style. He played it relentlessly. The song had no name (at least he didn’t know one). His buddy Nigel loved that tune and asked for it often. It was about the only decent thing Bob could play. It was proper the tune would ultimately be named “Nigels Blue”. There are 2 versions on the CD. Someday Bob should record the original dead thumb version.
