Fishing

Captain Bob is a Coast Guard licensed charter boat captain. He has been fishing the deep blue since he was a young kid. Over the years he’s caught, released and eaten a few. He first fished off the coast of Panama as a youngster . In college he fished the Indian Ocean off the coast of Kenya. His real fishing apprenticeship came fishing off the coast of Hatteras Island North Carolina. When he first moved to the island he spent a couple summer as mate aboard Captain Bruce Armstrong (Sr)’s very well known fishing boat “Sea Angel”. He has a few scars from those days. Along the way he fished his own rig a. 1987 Parker Sou’West known as the Bad Betty. Over 10 years that boat caught a lot of fish from Grouper to Blue Marlin. Fishing with Captain Bruce he logged hundreds (perhaps a thousand) of days offshore of Hatteras as well as Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, The Galapagos, Florida, British Colombia, Mexico. Maybe a few places he’s forgotten.

About 10 years ago he passed the Coast Guard test and earned his Charter Captains license. He still keeps it current today although living in the desert he find less time to work as a charter boat captain.

Here are some photos of a few good times. We’ll add a few more soon.
